Privacy Policy

What data we collect

• URLs you submit — we send the URL to a headless browser to take a screenshot and record a demo video.
• Screenshots — a screenshot of the submitted page is temporarily cached in memory (up to 1 hour) and sent to our AI model to generate a demo script.
• Generated videos — MP4 files are stored on-server. On the free tier, videos are automatically deleted after 24 hours.
• Basic analytics — we track video view counts, referrer URLs, and user agent strings via a lightweight tracking pixel. No cookies are used for tracking.
• IP addresses — used solely for rate limiting. Not stored persistently.

How data is stored

Demokaze is currently in beta. All data is stored locally on the server: rate-limiting state and screenshot caches live in memory, and video files are saved to disk. There is no external database at this time. Video metadata is stored in a local JSON file and cleaned up automatically.

Third-party services

We use Anthropic's Claude API to analyze page screenshots and generate demo scripts. The screenshot of your submitted URL is sent to Anthropic for processing. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third parties.

Data retention

Generated videos on the free tier are deleted after 24 hours. Screenshot caches expire after 1 hour. We do not retain data longer than necessary to provide the service.

Your rights

You can request deletion of any video by its ID at any time. Since we do not maintain user accounts, we do not store personal profiles. If you have questions about your data, please reach out using the contact information below.

Your rights under GDPR (EEA residents)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access (Article 15) — request a copy of data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification (Article 16) — request correction of inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure (Article 17) — request deletion of your data.
• Right to restriction (Article 18) — request we limit processing of your data.
• Right to data portability (Article 20) — receive your data in a portable format.
• Right to object (Article 21) — object to processing based on legitimate interests.

Sub-processors: We use Anthropic (United States) for AI-powered screenshot analysis via their Claude API. For international data transfers, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights under CCPA (California residents)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

• Right to know — request disclosure of categories and specific pieces of personal information collected.
• Right to delete — request deletion of personal information.
• Right to opt-out of sale — we do not sell personal information.
• Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Usage analytics

We track anonymized product usage events to understand how the service is used and improve the experience. Events we track include:

• Page views and navigation events
• Generation starts, completions, and failures
• Demo views, downloads, and shares
• Feature access requests

These events do not include personal identifiers. No cookies are used for tracking. Event data is stored on the server and is not shared with third parties.
