Product Hunt launch pack

A Product Hunt launch pack template for SaaS founders.

Product Hunt needs more than a launch-day video. Prepare the story, maker comment, gallery proof, changelog, social post, customer email, and follow-up note before the launch goes live.

Launch pack first, MP4 proof second. Demokaze works best when you start with a public URL and a real release story, review the launch assets, then render video proof only after the story is specific enough to publish.

The core template

A useful Product Hunt pack explains the promise, the shipped change, the proof, and the ask. Keep the ask focused on feedback, not votes.

  • Tagline angle: what the product helps users do
  • Maker comment: why you built it and what feedback you want
  • Gallery video prompt: what the viewer should see in 30-60 seconds
  • First comment: context, constraints, and links

Reuse the launch story outside Product Hunt

The strongest Product Hunt assets should not die after launch day. Reuse the same story for your changelog, social post, launch email, and sales follow-up so every channel feels coordinated.

Be explicit about limitations

Product Hunt users are skeptical of vague AI tools. Say what the product does, what it does not do, and what the example was generated from. Public URL plus release notes is a stronger promise than magic automation.

Checklist

  • Maker comment is specific
  • Gallery video has a clear hook
  • Launch page URL is public
  • Changelog copy is ready
  • Social copy is founder-safe
  • Follow-up email points back to the launch
